"On the Brink of War"
Today we as humans have come to another step in the evolution of this planet.
Today a coalition has declared war on others who would choose to destroy those who love freedom, and the institutions that protect it.
Today this coalition shall release into the world all kinds of possibilities that have the capacity to change the direction of history for all time.
Today we face a monster called terrorism. We have chosen to face it head on. And we have accepted the consequences that confrontation may bring.
Today we realize that we are not a unified planet, and that unity will be required in the future when possibly even greater challenges to our lives are mounted.
Today we remember what it means to be sons and daughters of a higher source. That Higher Source is what we also call Love, Peace, and Wisdom. They are the sources of all that is good; they are the energies upon which we depend; and they bring us love, peace, and wisdom in the worst of circumstances.
Today freedom from oppression goes on trial.
Today the presence of weapons of mass destruction demonstrates to what lengths some will go to stop an evolving world marching toward freedom and democracy.
Today we as humans learn that our real enemies are those who would oppress, keeping us from giving our unique talents and service as gifts to our fellow human beings.
Today we affirm that living out our spiritual lives in service to God, Allah, Love, or to whomever we ascribe higher powers is our true life and mission, and we must be allowed to express those higher purposes.
Today we unite in our desire for freedom for all people, regardless of geographical location or leadership.
Today we ask that evil intent be turned into higher order views, and that governance by, of, and for the people will be available for all.
Today we affirm our need for one another as human beings.
Today we realize that we need to have democratic international leadership that fosters peace, and opposes the enemies of freedom.
Today we affirm that we, as human beings, love one another, regardless of differences.
Today we affirm that the blessings and responsibilities of liberty must be a birthright for all.
Today we take another step in the evolution of our planet, trusting that freedom is the will of the Universe, and that freedom will ultimately survive.
And when we are afraid, we are reminded that we are more than bodies. We are evolving spirits whose lifetimes are opportunities for service, and we are being called upon to serve as never before.
Today, we ask that whatever is inconsistent with Love be taken away, and that we as the human family continue our commitment to freedom.
Let peace begin in our hearts that peace might ultimately be expressed throughout the world.
